“My princess has found her prince”

Claire and Ed tied the knot last year, the day after that other famous UK wedding, the one of William and Kate, though it certainly did not outshine this wedding. The ceremony was held at the picturesque Church of St Lawrence in Chobham, the oldest church in the borough of Surrey Heath, dating back all the way to 1080AD.

The celebrations continued at the exclusive Wentworth Club in Surrey. This amazingly elaborate golf Club House has been the setting for several celebrity weddings, but is undoubtedly better known to golf aficionados as one of the yearly locations for the PGA European Tour Championships.

Claire was probably one of our most relaxed brides ever, knowing that everything would run smoothly in the hands of her own personal wedding planner: her mum. The day had been meticulously planned and was stunning: a perfect black tie affair. Wentworth Club is one of our favourite venues; the caring staff and gorgeous event design make this place a joy to work at. Thanks to some strategically placed uplighters and wonderfully high ceilings, the main hall can be transformed to suit any couples’ ideal setting. To top it all off Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet, a longtime friend of the family, treated our guests to an impromptu performance with the wedding band, much to the delight of everyone there. However splendid the occasion, the most memorable and touching moment was undoubtedly the father of bride’s speech: “My princess has found her prince”. Now there’s a very proud and happy father if there was one.
